Beautiful and very modern hats, very simply made. Of course the cabled band is made flat; but then, unlike most hats of this type, you pick up stitches from the band and continue without joining-- i.e., flat and straight. None of these hats are made in the round. We like the fullness of the berets-- they remind us of old-fashioned snoods. The helmet/skullcap is always right, and the longer skullcap is quite of-the-moment. Flower/rose instructions are included and involve a neat little operation that's satisfyingly drawn out (illustrated, not prolonged!).
