Very unusual, this is a curiously Celtic and old-fashioned design-- and yet it really doesn't seem to refer to any historical style of garment. Rather, it seems to be something that the Celts wish they had thought of. The 'skirt' is belled, the sleeves are set-in, the V-neck generous and the closure simple and elegant. The Irish moss stitch makes a wonderful overall fabric (and we don't see it often enough because it's so simple and subtle). But this is a design that will last, just because it really is in a style class of its own. Gauge given is over Irish moss stitch.
