1415 Llama Silk V Neck Vest and Hat

This new yarn is 40% wool, 30% llama (which is what you must call alpaca over a certain micron count), and 30% silk. It is therefore marvellously heathered and has a great, soft hand full of body and character. This design reflects those qualities; it's got twisted stitch 'cables' in it (though you don't need a cable needle) against a purled ground, so everything's pretty much popping up in 3D all through the pieces. The hat's brim and crown are knitted, but the brim is crocheted: perfect for those who speak both languages. We think this would be a dynamite vest for guys, too.
